Tim joined the iBridge Network in 2008 as the representative of The University of Chicago, an original founding institution and continued on in an advisory capacity. In 2016 he also joined the team of experts that advise the IAF team on the Academic Venture Exchange initiative. Tim brings a unique set of experiences to his role as an advisor to the Innovation Accelerator Foundation.
Most of his career has been spent as a serial entrepreneur, launching his first business, used wooden pallet repair and resale, at age 20. Much later in his career, he founded and led Menasha Services, a third-party logistics company that revolutionized the use of reverse logistics and advanced packaging technologies to improve supply chain productivity. Previous to that, he was Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations for a start-up team that purchased and took private a financial education publishing and training subsidiary of Pearson PLC.
Tim joined the University of Chicago in 2003 as COO of its technology transfer function and now serves as the Director of Finance and Operations for the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Chicago.
He is passionately interested in and focused on positively impacting society and improving the
competitiveness of the United States economy via the efficient and effective creation of successful
commercial ventures based on inventions and innovations emanating from the nation’s research
institutions.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and MBA in Finance from Indiana University where he was a student government leader and honors scholar.
